3 New Cars, 2 Bikes Launching In 1st Half Of July – Launch Date

A total of 3 new exciting utility vehicles and 2 new motorcycles are slated to be launched in the first half of July 2023. While Maruti Suzuki will launch the Invicto MPV on July 5, the new Kia Seltos will be introduced on July 4. Adding to it, Hyundai will enter the micro SUV, the Exter in the country on July 10. Similarly, Harley and Triumph will launch the new motorcycles on July 3 and July 5 respectively.

The new Seltos will source design changes from the global Seltos. It will come with new front grille with revised LED DRLs, LED fog lamps, new bumpers, new alloy wheels, an LED bar connecting the tail-lights and a faux skid plate on the rear bumper. Inside the cabin, the new Kia Seltos will get a fully digital instrument console, an updated infotainment unit, a factory-fitted panoramic sunroof, an electric parking brake and others. The SUV will also receive an ADAS suite. It will retain the existing 115bhp, 1.5L NA petrol and a 115bhp, 1.5L turbo diesel engines. The SUV will also receive a 1.5L turbo petrol engine that produces 160PS and 253Nm of torque.

Maruti Invicto – Launch On July 5

Maruti Suzuki will launch the 3-row premium MPV on July 5, 2023. Interested buyers can book the new MPV online or at authorised dealership by paying a token amount of Rs 25,000. It is essentially the re-badged version of the Toyota Innova Hycross; however, the Invicto will receive design changes in-line with the Grand Vitara. The interior is likely to get new seat upholstery and color scheme. It will be the first Maruti Suzuki product to be offered with ADAS (Advanced Driver Assistance System) tech. It will be available with Toyota’s 2.0L strong hybrid powertrain that offers a combined power output of 184bhp. The MPV will also receive the 2.0L NA petrol engine that produces 172bhp & 205Nm of torque.

Hyundai Exter – Launch On July 10

The new Exter micro SUV can be booked online or at authorised Hyundai dealership by paying a token amount of Rs 11,000. Based on Hyundai’s K1 platform, the new Hyundai Exter will directly rival the Tata Punch and the Citroen C3. It will be offered in 15 variants spread across 5 trims – EX, S, SX, SX(O) and SX(O) Connect. The mini SUV will be powered by a 1.2L petrol engine that’s good enough for 83bhp and 113.8Nm of torque. The CNG version produces 69bhp and 95.2Nm of torque. Transmission choices will include a 5-speed manual and an AMT unit.

Hero-Harley X440 – Launch On July 3

Harley Davidon X440, the first motorcycle under Harley & Hero partnership will go on sale in our market in the first week of July. It will be a single-cylinder retro-styled motorcycle, which will challenge the Royal Enfield bikes. It is powered by a 440cc single-cylinder, air/oil-cooled engine. While the official power and torque figures are yet to be revealed, we expect the engine to produce close to 30bhp and 40Nm of torque. The motorcycle will have USD front fork and twin-shock absorber at the rear. The bike will have disc brakes and dual-channel ABS as standard.

Bajaj-Triumph Bike – Launch On July 5

Triumph will enter into the highly competitive entry-level mid-capacity segment that is currently dominated by Royal Enfield. The company is likely to showcase two new motorcycles. RE is likely to introduce a new Scrambler that is likely to share the styling cues from the bigger Triumph Bonneville family of motorcycles. The second bike could be the neo-retro street bike that is likely to share design cues from Triumph’s street lineup. The bike will have USD front forks, a rear mono shock, discx brakes, round headlamps & alloy wheels. The new motorcycles are likely to be powered by a 400cc or KTM’s 373cc, liquid-cooled, single-cylinder engine with power close to 35-40bhp & over 40Nm of torque.
