July 2023 is going to be a super exciting month for auto enthusiasts as there will be multiple new product unveilings and launches. Joining the slew, Kia India has announced that it will unveil the heavily updated Seltos midsize SUV on 4th July. Noticeable changes will be made to its exterior and interior, while the engine-gearbox combinations will remain intact. However, rumors suggest that a new 1.5L turbo petrol engine might replace the 1.4L turbo gasoline unit.
The new engine, paired with a 6-speed manual and a 7-speed DCT gearbox, will generate power worth 160bhp and 253Nm of torque. The 1.5L NA petrol and diesel engines will also be carried over from the existing model.
The biggest talking point of the new 2023 Kia Seltos will be the ADAS (advanced driver assistance system) tech. The safety suite will provide access to multiple advanced safety features, such as smart cruise control with stop and go, blind spot collision warning, intelligent speed limit assist, forward collision avoidance assist, rear cross-traffic collision avoidance assist, highway driving assist, and safe exit warning. The South Korean automaker will also give a mid-life update to the Sonet subcompact SUV and Carens MPV. The updated Carens will arrive during the Diwali season, and the new Sonet might hit showrooms towards the end of 2023.
The new Kia Carens facelift is reported to get ADAS tech and a panoramic sunroof. There could also be a new interior theme and upholstery, an updated instrument cluster, and a new infotainment unit. The MPV’s engine setup is likely to include a 1.5L turbo petrol and a 1.5L diesel motor. The 2023 Kia Sonet will come with minor design and feature upgrades, while its engines will remain intact.
