Maruti S-Presso Variant-Wise Key Features Explained
The long-awaited Maruti S-Presso mini SUV has finally been launched in our market. The entry-level budget car is available in 4 trim levels – Std, LXi, VXi and VXi+ – and in total of 10 variants. It is introduced at an introductory starting price of Rs 3.69 lakh, which goes up to Rs 4.91 lakh for the top-end variant (ex-showroom, Delhi).
The small car is powered by a 1.0-litre K10B petrol engine, which is compliant with BS6 emission norms. This engine is capable of producing a maximum power output 67bhp and peak torque of 91Nm. Transmission options include 5-speed manual and 5-speed AMT unit. This engine will also rival the likes of the Wagon R, the Celerio and the Alto K10 in the near future.
Maruti S-Presso Std – this variant is available with driver side-airbag, ABS with EBD, rear parking sensors, seatbelt reminders, speed alert system and immobilizer as standard safety features. This model rides on 13-inch steel wheels. Also See – Maruti S-Presso detailed image gallery
Maruti S-Presso LXi – this model has all the features that are available in the standard car. Adding to it, the mini SUV gets air conditioner, power steering and sun visors.
Maruti S-Presso VXi (in addition to the LXi variant) – the VXi trim is fairly equipped with some comfort and convenience features. It gets keyless entry, central locking, speed sensitive door locks, Maruti’s SmartPlay Dock audio system, Bluetooth connectivity, front power windows, gear shift indicator, 12V accessory socket, etc. This model rides on 14-inch steel wheels with wheel covers.
Maruti S-Presso VXi+ – this variant gets dual front airbags, multi-functional steering wheel, rear parcel tray, body-coloured door handles, bumpers and wing mirrors and parking brake warning. It also gets a 7.0-inch SmartPlay Studio infotainment system with Android Auto and Apple CarPlay.
