Maruti Fronx Launch In Coming Weeks – Tata Punch Fighter

Maruti Suzuki India aims to become India’s leading Utility Vehicle (UV) player in fiscal year 2024. In order to double its SUV sales, the company will bring in two major products in this segment – Fronx compact crossover and Jimny 5-door. While the former will go on sale in the next couple of weeks, the latter one is reported to hit showrooms in late May 2023. Once launched, the Maruti Fronx will be put up against the Tata Punch, Nissan Magnite and Renault Kiger. Let’s take a look at all its key details.

Design Highlights

The Fronx, which is essentially the Baleno-based SUV coupe, underpins the Heartect monocoque platform. Some of its body panels are exactly similar to its hatchback sibling, while its split headlamp setup and more upright nose seem borrowed from the Grand Vitara. The model has sporty front and rear bumpers with faux skid plates and subtle use of chrome. The side profile is adorned by 17-inch alloy wheels and a roofline slipping towards the tailgate.
