If you’re looking for a 7-seater, budget family car, there will be two new product launches this year. While the Citroen will unveil the C3 Aircross on 27th April, Mahindra & Mahindra is reported to roll out the Bolero Neo Plus in coming months. Here’s a brief on the upcoming affordable 7-seater cars.

Citroen C3 Aircross
Citroen C3 Aircross SUV is likely to be offered with 5 and 7-seat layout options. Rumour also has it that it might get the electric powertrain at a later stage. Based on the extended C3 hatchback platform, the model could be offered with the 1.2L, 3-cylinder turbocharged petrol engine that’s good enough for 110bhp and 190Nm. Most of its design elements and features will be similar to its hatchback sibling. Though, it’s expected to come with a differently designed dashboard and some extra goodies. On the exterior, the new Citroen SUV might feature a more upright stance and an entirely new rear section. The C3 Aircross prices are expected to be under Rs 10 lakh. More details here…
Mahindra Bolero Neo Plus
The home-grown automaker has restarted testing the longer version of the Mahindra Bolero Neo. Therefore, speculations are on rife that the SUV might hit roads in coming months. The spy images reveal that the model will carry a sculpted front bumper, chrome finished grille, 15-inch alloy wheels, slightly tweaked rear bumper and redesigned taillamps. The Bolero Neo Plus will come in five trims and two seating configurations – 7 and 8-seats. Interestingly, there will also be a dedicated ambulance variant with 4-seats layout and a bed. For power, the SUV will use a 1.5L mHawk diesel engine paired to a 5-speed manual gearbox. The motor pushes out a maximum power of 100bhp. It could be offered with the mechanical locking differential helping it in difficult terrain and low traction. Prices of the Mahindra Bolero Neo Plus are likely to be around Rs 1 lakh higher than the Bolero Neo that costs between Rs 9.48 lakh – Rs 11.99 lakh. More details here…
