Maruti Suzuki has rolled out the CNG variant of its popular entry-level hatchback – Alto K10. It comes in a single VXi variant that costs Rs 5.94 lakh, thus making it Rs 94,000 more expensive than its standard petrol counterpart. The Maruti Alto K10 CNG comes with the 1.0L Dualjet, dual VVT petrol engine paired to a factory-fitted CNG kit. The setup returns a claimed power of 56.69PS at 5,300rom and 82.1Nm of torque at 3,400rpm. It’s slightly lower than the petrol motor that promises power worth 65.26PS at 5,500rpm and 89Nm of torque at 3,500rpm.
The new Maruti Alto K10 CNG is claimed to deliver fuel efficiency of 33.85km/kg. The hatchback’s standard petrol version with manual and AMT gearbox delivers a mileage of 24.39kmpl and 24.90kmpl respectively. With the launch of new Alto K10 CNG, the Indo-Japanese carmaker has a total of 13 S-CNG models in its product portfolio.
Commenting on the launch of the Maruti Alto K10 CNG, Shashank Srivastava, Senior Executive Officer, Marketing & Sales, Maruti Suzuki India Limited, said that the company has retailed over 1 million S-CNG vehicles so far. Similar to the standard VXi petrol variant, the CNG version offers 2-DIN SmartPlay audio system with Bluetooth connectivity, 2 speakers, impact sensing door unlock, central locking, speed sensing auto door lock, manually adjustable wing mirrors, AUX and USB port, front power windows, roof antenna and body-coloured door handles.
Currently, the 2022 Maruti Alto K10 is available in four manual and two AMT variants. The Std, LXi, VXi and VXi+ manual variants are priced at Rs 3.99 lakh, Rs 4.82 lakh, Rs 5.00 lakh and Rs 5.34 lakh respectively. While the VXi AMT model costs Rs 5.50 lakh, the range-topping VXi+ AMT variant is available at Rs 5.84 lakh. All aforementioned prices are ex-showroom.
