Maruti Suzuki has finally launched the new-generation Alto K10 in the country. The new 2022 Maruti Alto K10 model lineup has been offered in four trims – Std, LXi, VXi and VXi+ – and 6 variants, which are priced from Rs 3.99 lakh to Rs 5.83 lakh. While manual versions are available within the price range of Rs 3.99 lakh – Rs 5.33 lakh, the VXi and VXi+ automatic variants costs Rs 5.49 lakh and Rs 5.83 lakh respectively. All aforementioned prices are ex-showroom, Delhi.
The hatch’s new-generation model comes with more angular, improved design, updated interior and engine. It can be had in 6 different exterior colour options, namely, Earth Gold, Solid White, Sizzling Red, Silky White, Speedy Blue and Granite Grey. The company is offering two accessory packages with the hatchback – Impacto and Glinto.

The new Maruti Alto has also grown in size. The new-generation model measures 3530mm in length, 1490mm in width and 1520mm in height. Now, its wheelbase is 2380mm long. Under the hood, the new Alto K10 employs the updated 1.0L Dualjet, Dual VVT K-Series petrol engine with the start/stop technology. The motor makes a top power of 67bhp and 89Nm of torque. Buyers can choose from a 5-speed manual and an AMT gearbox. The new Alto K10 mileage figures stand at 24.90kmpl (AMT) and 24.39kmpl (MT).
Compared to the previous generation, the new 2022 Maruti Alto K10 carries more angular stance with elements such as a honeycomb pattern grille and new sweptback headlamps. Similar to the Celerio, the new Alto gets a pronounced should line along with the conventional glasshouse, lift-up door handles and R13 wheels with new full wheel covers.
A few significant changes have been made inside the cabin. The new Maruti Alto 2022 has an upright dashboard design with an integrated 7-inch touchscreen infotainment system with Android Auto and Apple CarPlay connectivity.
The hatch also gets a digital instrument cluster, steering mounted audio & voice controls, front and rear door speakers, four power windows with buttons placed on its dashboard, electric adjustable ORVMs, manual AC unit and remote keyless entry.
Based on Suzuki’s Heartect platform, the new Maruti Alto K10 offers dual front airbags, pre-tensioner and force limiter front seat belts, reverse parking sensors, speed sensing auto door lock, high speed alert, electronic brake force distribution (EBD) and anti-lock braking system (ABS).
