After being absent from the Indian market for almost two years, Maruti Suzuki Alto K10 recently made a comeback in a new avatar. Based on Suzuki’s tried-&-tested Heartact platform, the new-generation Alto K10 features a completely refreshed design and new features.
The new Maruti Alto K10 comes in four variants (Std, LXi, VXi, and VXi+), and there isn’t any significant price difference between them, making it difficult to choose the correct trim. But don’t worry, we are here to help you.

Variants-Wise Pricing and Features
1. Alto K10 STD
Ex-Showroom Price | Rs 3.99 lakh |
Key Features: –
Exterior | 13-inch steel wheels with hub cap, halogen headlamps, bulb-type indicators & taillamps, unpainted door handles, side mirrors, and bumpers. |
Interior | All-black cabin, front console utility space, 1-liter bottle holders in front doors with map pockets. |
Comfort & Convenience | Manual windows, remote tailgate opening, remote fuel lid opener. |
Infotainment | Digital speedometer |
Safety | Dual-front airbags, ABS with EBD, rear parking sensors, speed alert system, front seatbelt reminders, pre-tensioner & force limiter, and rear door child lock. |
Verdict: – Being a base-spec variant of an entry-level car, the STD variant misses out on various basic features, including power windows, internally adjustable side mirrors, day/night IRVM, and an air conditioner. In fact, there’s no power steering as well. Often such variants are offered only to make the cost of the car appear lower. So avoid this variant if possible.
2. Alto K10 LXi
Ex-Showroom Price | Rs 4.82 lakh |
Price Difference From STD Variant | +Rs 83,000 |
Key Features (over STD variant): –
Exterior | Body-colored bumpers |
Comfort & Convenience | Air conditioner and power steering |
Verdict: – Compared to the STD variant, the LXi gets features like power steering and AC for the price premium of Rs 83,000, but it still lacks many essential features. So, skip to the VXi variant, which is only Rs 17,000 more expensive.
3. Alto K10 VXi
Ex-Showroom Price | Rs 4.99 lakh (MT), Rs 5.49 lakh (AMT) |
Price Difference From LXi Variant | +Rs 17,000 |
Key Features (over LXI variant): –
Exterior | Roof antenna, body-colored door handles, and full-wheel covers. |
Comfort & Convenience | Front power windows, internally adjustable side mirrors, front accessory socket, |
Infotainment | 2-DIN music system with SmartPlay Dock, Bluetooth, AUX & USB connectivity, FM/AM, 2-speakers, MID with distance-to-empty, average fuel consumption reading, gear position indicator, key off/headlamp on reminder. |
Safety | Central door lock, speed sensing auto-door lock, impact sensing door unlock, Emergency Locking Retractor (ELR) rear seat belts, |
Verdict: The second-from-the-top VXi variant of the Maruti Suzuki Alto K10 offers good value for money, especially considering it commands a premium of Rs 17,000 over the LXi variant. But it still misses out on some essential features. Consider only if you are tight on your budget. Otherwise, skip to the VXi+ variant.
4. Alto K10 VXi+
Ex-Showroom Price | Rs 5.33 lakh (MT), Rs 5.83 lakh (AMT) |
Price Difference From LXi Variant | +Rs 34,000 |
Key Features (over LXI variant): –
Interior | Silver accent on steering wheel, centre console, door trims, and side louvers. |
Comfort & Convenience | Remote keyless entry, rear parcel tray, |
Infotainment | 7-inch touchscreen infotainment system with Apple Carplay and Android Auto, 2 additional speakers, and steering-mounted audio controls. |
Verdict: Compared to the previous-gen model, Maruti has undoubtedly improved the new-gen Alto K10 in various means; however, it still lacks in some areas. Considering its price range, the brand should have been offered rear power windows, front adjustable headrests, day/night IRVM, and a rear defogger.
