The home-grown carmaker keeps dropping interesting teasers of its upcoming Mahindra XUV700 premium SUV that’s likely to debut in coming weeks. Its launch might happen on 75th Independence Day of India. The latest teaser video shows the smart door handle that automatically pops out when the car is unlocked through the key or by touching the request sensor placed on the door. It goes back inside when the car is locked. Isn’t it cool!
The upcoming XUV700 three-row SUV has also been packed with auto booster headlamps and personalized safety alters, which are first in its segment. In fact, it offers the largest panoramic sunroof in its category (Mahindra calls it Skyroof). The latest spy images reveal that the XUV700 will feature a dual-screen, high-resolution display working as a touchscreen infotainment system and an instrument cluster.

Some of its other key features will include a leather wrapped, multi function flat bottom steering wheel with mounted controls, leather seat upholstery with contrast stitching, rear AC vents (for both middle and third row seats), middle row seats with two adjustable headrests and a fixed centre headrest, reading lamps next to the grab handles, dual zone climate control, electronic parking brake with Auto hold, wireless charging, push start/stop button, drive modes, keyless entry and more.
Rumour has it that the Mahindra XUV700 will be equipped with the level 2 ADAS (advanced driver assistance system). If it happens, the XUV700 will become the first vehicle in its segment to offer it. This isn’t it. The upcoming Mahindra 7-seater SUV will have the segment’s most powerful petrol and diesel engines. Its petrol version will use a 200bhp, 2.0L turbo mStallion motor and diesel model will be powered by a 185bhp, 2.2L mHawk unit. Transmission options will include a 6-speed manual and a 6-speed torque convertor automatic unit. The latter one will be sourced from Aisin.
