Hyundai i20 N Line India Launch Later This Year

Korean automaker, Hyundai has recently launched the Alcazar 7-seater SUV in the Indian market. The company is readying multiple new products such as a 7-seater MPV and a micro SUV, codenamed AX1 for the Indian market. Before these products, Hyundai will introduce the first N line car for India, the i20 N Line.

The Hyundai i20 N Line has been spotted testing multiple times on Indian roads. It is expected that the new N Line will be launched during festive season, before Diwali 2021. In terms of styling, the hatchback shares design elements from Hyundai’s N performance arm. The front fascia of the hatchback gets a re-styled bumper, a blackened grille with a “chequered flag” pattern and a striking N Line badge. It also gets additional skirtings in a grey contrasting stripe.

At the back, the new Hyundai i20 N Line has new bumper, a triangular-shaped fog lamp and a chromed twin-exist exhaust. The hot hatch is already on sale in select international markets, where it is offered in 4 colors – Phantom Black, Aurora Grey, Polar White and Brass. The hatchback rides on newly styled dual-tone 17-inch alloy wheels.

The interior of the Hyundai i20 N Line looks identical to the existing i20 hatch; however, it gets some sporty looking design elements. The hatch gets N badging and sport front seats with contrasting red stitchings along with a dedicated N steering wheel. It will also get metal pedals and N gear shift knob with red inserts.

It is basically the sporty looking variant of the standard i20. It will be powered by a  1.0-litre T-GDI petrol engine. This 3-cylinder turbocharged petrol engine churns out 118bhp of power and 172Nm of torque. Transmission options could include a 7-speed DCT and a 6-speed iMT. It is expected that the new Hyundai i20 N Line will be refined in  terms of suspension, engine response and exhaust sound.
