While the former makes a top power of 110bhp with 200Nm, the latter delivers 115bhp with 300Nm. A 6-speed manual gearbox is standard and a 6-speed AMT is exclusively offered on the diesel variants.
In coming months, the carmaker might roll out the more powerful and sportier version of the XUV300. Called the Mahindra XUV300 Sportz, the model made its first public appearance at the 2020 Auto Expo. At the heart of the vehicle is Mahindra’s all-new 1.2L mStallion motor making power worth 130bhp against 230Nm of torque. That said, it will be more powerful than the Hyundai Venue turbo petrol that makes 120bhp.
The electric iteration of the XUV300 is also in pipeline. Previewed at this year’s Auto Expo, the electric subcompact SUV might come sometime next year. The XUV300 EV will be the brand’s first model to underpin the Made-in-India MESMA (Mahindra Electric Scalable Modular Architecture) platform.
