Mahindra & Mahindra is gearing up to launch the new Bolero Neo and XUV700 SUVs in the coming months. While the new Mahindra Bolero Neo is reported to come by September, the Mahindra XUV700 7-seater SUV will arrive by October 2021. One must note that the official launch details of both models are yet to be revealed. Here’s a brief on soon-to-be-launched Mahindra SUVs.
Mahindra Bolero Neo
The TUV300 facelift is reported to be launched with a new nameplate – Mahindra Bolero Neo. The model, which is currently in its final testing phase, is likely to receive significant styling tweaks and feature upgrades. The spy pictures confirm that the compact SUV will retain the boxy and upright stance. Though, its front end will be revised with a new grille featuring thick chrome slats, redesigned headlamps, updated bumpers, new lower air dam and revised taillamp clusters. The new Bolero Neo might come with a new touchscreen infotainment system with latest smartphone connectivity and a bunch of new features. Powering the model is likely to be the same BS6, 1.5L diesel motor that’s good for 100bhp and 240Nm. Both manual and AMT gearboxes will be on offer.
Mahindra XUV700
Mahindra XUV700 is rumoured to debut in July and its launch might happen by October 2021. In the premium 7-seater segment, it will be placed against the newly-launched Hyundai Alcazar and MG Hector Plus. It will be the brand’s first model to underpin the new monocoque platform. Engine setup of the XUV700 will include a new 2.0L turbo petrol and a 2.2L diesel engine delivering power around 188bp and 185bhp respectively. Both units will be available with the 6-speed manual and 6-speed torque convertor automatic gearboxes. If reports are to be believed, there will also be a mild hybrid powertain. The SUV is likely to be equipped with ADAS (advanced driver assistance system), autonomous emergency braking, digital instrument cluster, power adjustable driver seat with memory function, adaptive cruise control and more.
