Mahindra & Mahindra has silently rolled out the KUV100 NXT dual-tone variant at Rs 7.35 lakh (ex-showroom, Delhi). The mini SUV comes in two dual-tone shades – Flamboyant Red & Metallic Black and Dazzling Silver & Metallic Black. One must note that the dual-tone paint schemes are available only in the fully-loaded K8 trim. The mini comes in 6 monotone colours, namely, Designer Grey, Dazzling Silver, Midnight Black, Pearl White, Firery Orange and Flamboyant Red. No other changes have been made to the new dual-tone variants. Features such as front fog lamps with chrome accents, DRLs, alloy wheels, piano black rear door handles, electrically foldable ORVMs, black interior theme, paino-black insert on dashboard and door trims, mood lighting, navigation, two tweeters, second-row arm rest, cooled glovebox, front and rear 12V power outlets and micro hybrid technology are exclusively offered on the K8 trim.
At present, the Mahindra KUV100 NXT is available in four trims (K2+, K4+, K6+ and K8) priced from Rs 5.54 lakh to Rs 7.15 lakh (all, ex-showroom Delhi). The mini SUV sources its power from 1.2L mFalcon G80 petrol engine paired to a 5-speed manual gearbox. The gasoline unit has been tuned for generating power worth 82bhp at 5,500rpm and 115Nm at 3,500rpm.
The home-grown carmaker recently launched the new-generation Mahindra Thar that has been receiving overwhelming response from buyers. The off-road SUV gathered over 15,000 bookings so far. Due to high demand, its waiting period has already been stretched to 2021.
The company is planning bring in the new-generation Mahindra XUV500 and Mahindra Scorpio early next year. Both models will witness comprehensive changes in terms of design and features. The 2021 Mahindra XVU500 and Scorpio will come with new petrol and updated, more powerful diesel engine options. Both manual and automatic gearboxes will be on offer.
