Isuzu Motors India has launched the D-Max pick-up truck in the Indian car market at Rs. 5.99 lakh (ex-showroom, Mumbai). The vehicle is offered in two trim levels- the base flat deck variant and the higher Space Cab.
This utility vehicle lacks many comfort and convenience features. The top spec model gets chrome finish on the grille, body coloured bumpers & door handles, central locking, power windows, air conditioning and others. At the back, the entry level model gets flat bed for storage while the top spec model is offered as a ‘space cab’, which comes with two seats and some utility space behind them.
It is propelled by the 2.5-litre, 4-cylinder, common rail diesel engine that churns out a maximum power output of 134bhp and a peak torque of 290Nm. The engine is coupled to a five-speed manual transmission gearbox.
