Kia India unveiled the production-ready Seltos X-Line last week. It’s essentially the new blacked-out and sportier version of the SUV with cosmetic enhancements. The Kia Seltos X-Line will officially go on sale in September 2021. Though, its launch date is yet to be announced by the carmaker. Painted in new Matte Graphite colour scheme, the Seltos X-Line carries a black grille with a gloss black surround, bumper integrated silver skid plate with a piano black trim with orange accents and new gloss black accents around the LED fog lamps at the front end. The newly-designed, larger 18-inch alloy wheels, ORMVs with piano black treatment and orange accents on the centre wheel caps and side door garnish enhance its sporty side appearance.
At the back, the model features blacked out tailgate, new gloss finish on faux exhausts, ‘X-Line’ badge on the tailgate and blacked out skid plate with orange highlights. One of the biggest changes made inside the cabin is the Indigo Pera leatherette seats with honeycomb pattern and grey stitching. The dual-tone Black and Grey dashboard further distinguish it from the standard Seltos. Its feature list is identical to the range-topping Seltos GT Line trim of the regular model. No changes have been made under the hood. The new Kia Seltos X-Line will be made available with the 1.4L turbo petrol and 1.5L diesel engines making power worth 140bhp with 242Nm and 115bhp with 250Nm respectively. While the turbo-petrol unit comes with a 7-speed DCT gearbox, the oil burner gets a 6-speed torque converter automatic transmission. There is no manual gearbox option.
Prices of the new Kia Seltos X-Line are estimated to be slightly higher than the standard Seltos that costs between Rs 9.95 lakh – Rs 17.65 lakh (all, ex-showroom).
