Kia India has announced that it managed to sell 16,750 units in August 2021, registering around 55% Y-o-Y growth over the same period previous year. While the Kia Seltos remains the highest volume generator with total sales of 8619 units, the Sonet and Carnival recorded sales of 7752 units and 379 units respectively. Mr. Tae-Jin Park, Executive Director and Chief Sales and Business Strategy Officer, Kia India said that the company achieved multiple milestones in the month of August along with the impressive sales numbers. Last month, Kia dispatched 2 lakh units of Seltos and 1.5 lakh units of connected vehicles along with becoming the fastest carmaker to accomplish the three lakh sales milestone. In calendar year 2021, the South Korean carmaker retailed around 1.3 lakh units so far, with an average of over 16000 units per month. With its new offering – Kia Seltos X-Line, the company aims to achieve higher sales numbers during the festive season.
Earlier today, the automaker announced prices of the new top-end variant of the Seltos – X-Line. The model has been made available with both petrol and diesel engines, priced at Rs 17.79 lakh and Rs 18.10 lakh respectively. All aforementioned prices are ex-showroom. Compared to the standard GTX+ variant, the new Kia Seltos X-Line petrol and diesel are around Rs 15,000 and Rs 25,000 more expensive respectively.
The newly-launched Kia Seltos X-Line gets multiple cosmetic enhancements over the regular model. One of the major updates includes the new ‘Xclusive Matte Graphite’ colour scheme. It has ‘Xclusive Piano black’ (gloss black) finish on the front and rear skid plates, ORVMs, shark-fin antenna, faux exhaust on the rear bumper and tailgate garnish. The ‘Sun Orange’ accents on the skid plates, centre caps of the wheels and side door garnish add more to its sporty looks. The Seltos X-Line runs on larger 18-inch alloy wheels featuring a matte graphite finish.
