In October 2018, the Indian two-wheeler industry has witnessed a decent growth. While Hero MotoCorp, Suzuki, Bajaj and TVS registered growth above 15%, Yamaha and Mahindra Two Wheelers witnessed a fall by 3.3% and 79.3% respectively. Here’s the list of top 10 selling bikes and scooters of October, 2018.
Talking about the bikes, the Hero Splendor is the country’s highest selling bike with total sales of 2,68,377 units. The second spot is grabbed by yet another Hero – the Hero HF Deluxe – that recorded sales above 2 lakh units. Bajaj’s CT commuter (93,676 units) and Pulsar (90,363 units) stood at the third and fifth position respectively, while the Honda CB Shine (91,319 units) is the fourth largest bike of October, 2018.
The Hero Passion and Glamour managed to grab the sixth and seventh positions respectively. While the former recorded sales of 84,870 units, the latter registered sales of 80,627 units. The eighth, ninth and tenth spots are captured by Bajaj Platina (74,064 units), Royal Enfield Classic 350 (46,148 units) and TVS Apache (41,396 units) respectively.
The Honda Activa retains the crown of India’s top-selling scooter with sales of 2,62,260 units. The TVS Jupiter stood at the second position with sales of 1,02,132 units, followed by Suzuki Access that recorded total sales of 45,860 units. Honda Two-Wheelers managed to sell 43,860 units of the Dio scooter that stood at the fourth position.
With sales of 33,053 units, the Hero Maestro emerged as the fifth highest-selling scooter of the country. The sixth, seventh and eighth spots are captured by TVS Ntorq (23,600 units), Yamaha Fascino (23,188 units) and Hero Duet (20,040 units) respectively. Hero’s Pleasure, with sales of 15,036 units, is the ninth top-selling scooter in October, 2018. The TVS Pep+ stood at the tenth position registering sales of 13,254 units.
