New-Gen Maruti Dzire
The Maruti Dzire is set to enter its next generation in early 2024. One of the most significant changes will be in the powertrain department. It is expected to feature a 1.2L, 3-cylinder petrol engine with Toyota’s hybrid technology. The hybrid Dzire is projected to achieve an impressive ARAI-certified mileage of 35-40kmpl. The existing 1.2L, 4-cylinder K12N Dualjet petrol engine is expected to continue to be offered. The sedan is likely to undergo substantial design and interior changes. The hybrid Dzire may come at a premium price, estimated to be Rs 1 lakh to Rs 1.50 lakh higher than the regular petrol version.
New-Gen Honda Amaze
The new-generation Honda Amaze is expected to launch in 2024. It will be based on a modified version of its existing platform, likely the same one that underpins the Honda Elevate. While specific details are yet to be disclosed, major changes are expected in terms of design and interior. The new Amaze is likely to draw design inspiration from the new City and Accord sedans. It will feature ADAS (Advanced Driver Assistance Systems) technology, a new interior theme, and a free-standing touchscreen infotainment system. The engine lineup is expected to remain unchanged, with the same 1.2L, 4-cylinder naturally aspirated petrol engine producing 90bhp and 110Nm of torque, available with manual and CVT gearbox options.

Tata Motors is planning a generational shift for the Tata Tigor compact sedan, among other models. The all-new Tata Tigor is expected to be based on the Alfa platform, borrowed from the Altroz. While specific details about the 2024 Tata Tigor are currently scarce, it is anticipated to feature substantial updates in terms of design and a more upmarket interior.
