New-Gen Honda Amaze To Get ADAS Tech; Launch in 2024

Honda Cars India is ready to enter into the highly competitive midsize SUV segment with the Elevate in a couple of months. Besides this, the carmaker will also give a generation change to the Amaze compact sedan in 2024. While official details of the new 2024 Honda Amaze are yet to be revealed, it’s expected to receive major changes in terms of design, interior and underpinning. If reports are to be believed, the sedan’s new model will be built on the modified version of the existing architecture. It’s the same platform that underpins the Honda Elevate SUV.

Design and styling of the new Amaze could be inspired by the new City sedan and the global-spec Accord. With the increasing popularity of the ADAS (advanced driver assistance system) tech, Honda will introduce its Honda Sensing Suite to all its future models including the third-generation Amaze. The suite offers advanced safety and driver-assistive technologies including lane departure warning, lane keep assist, collision mitigation braking system, road departure warning, adaptive cruise control, and automatic high beam assist.

Furthermore, the new 2024 Honda Amaze is likely to receive a new interior layout and a free-standing touchscreen infotainment system with Apple CarPlay and Android Auto connectivity. Rest of its features will be carried forward from the current generation including automatic climate control, cruise control, engine start/stop button, tilt adjustable steering, speed sensing auto door lock function, electrically adjustable and foldable ORVMs, etc.

Under the hood, the new 2024 Honda Amaze might feature the same 1.2L, 4-cylinder naturally aspirated petrol engine making a top power of 90bhp and 110Nm of torque. The sedan can be had with either a 5-speed manual or a CVT automatic gearbox. There will be no diesel engine on offer.

With a generation change, the Amaze compact sedan might witness a minor price hike. Its current-generation model comes in 5 variants (including 2 automatic), priced between Rs 6.99 lakh – Rs 9.60 lakh (ex-showroom).
