Hyundai Motor India has unveiled significant business expansion plans involving an investment of $2.45 billion over the next 10 years. The company is aiming to bolster its electric vehicle (EV) initiatives and has signed an agreement with the Tamil Nadu government to support this endeavor. The funds will be allocated to enhance manufacturing capabilities, assemble EV batteries, and establish charging stations. Alongside its EV strategy, the South Korean automaker is set to update its top-selling models – the Creta midsize SUV, i20 premium hatchback, and Venue subcompact SUV. Hyundai Creta Facelift – Early 2024
The 2024 Hyundai Creta facelift is poised for substantial changes in terms of design and features. A notable highlight is the inclusion of ADAS (advanced driver assistance system) technology, offering various autonomous functionalities such as lane following assist, rear cross traffic collision avoidance, blind spot collision avoidance assist, forward collision warning, and adaptive cruise control. The revamped Creta will feature an upgraded infotainment system, an HD digital instrument cluster, a 360-degree camera, enhanced BlueLink connectivity, and a newly designed dashboard. Hyundai i20 Facelift – 2024
The Hyundai i20 facelift was officially revealed through pictures in July 2023. The hatchback is expected to conclude its testing phase towards the end of the year, with a global debut to follow. Although the Indian launch timeline remains undisclosed, it’s anticipated to hit the roads in 2024. The exterior and interior will undergo minor modifications. The 2024 Hyundai i20 might feature a new grille with arrow-shaped inlets, a revised front bumper, new headlamps with slightly repositioned LED DRLs, and new taillamps with Z-shaped LED inserts. New-Gen Hyundai Venue – 2025
The second generation of the Hyundai Venue subcompact SUV is slated to debut in 2025. Notably, this model will mark the first to roll out from Hyundai’s new Talegaon facility in Maharashtra. Internally referred to as Project Q2Xi, the 2025 Hyundai Venue is expected to undergo comprehensive design changes and receive upgraded features. Details about the model remain limited at this stage.
