Hyundai i20 N Line Version To Be Introduced In India Tomorrow

Korean automaker, Hyundai will introduce the N Line sportier brand in the Indian market tomorrow. The first product under the new sportier brand is the new Hyundai i20 N Line, which will be offered with some cosmetic changes. Hyundai engineers are also likely to make some mechanical changes to improve the overall performance of the car.

The new Hyundai i20 N Line is likely to be offered with three variants – N6 iMT, N8 iMT and N8 DCT. The N6 variant will be based on the Sportz trim, the N8 trim will be based on the Asta variant of the standard i20. Select Hyundai dealers have already started accepting bookings for the new i20 N Line.

The new Hyundai i20 N Line will be powered by a 1.0-litre 3-cylinder T-GDI turbocharged petrol engine that churns out 120PS of power at 6,000rpm and a peak torque of 172Nm at 1,500rpm – 4,000rpm. Transmission choices will include an iMT and a DCT automatic. It will be refined inĀ  terms of suspension, engine response and exhaust sound. As per leaked information, the new model will measure 3,995mm in length, 1,775mm in width and 1,505mm in height respectively. It is expected that the new model will weigh around 1,430kg – 1,460kg.

In terms of styling, the new Hyundai i20 N Line will receive some sportier design elements. It will get revised front and rear bumpers, N Line badging on the front grille, blacked out side skirts and pillars, and chrome plated twin exhaust unit. The new model will ride on newly styled 17-inch dual-tone alloy wheels. The top-spec Asta i20 features 16-inch alloys.

It is expected to be offered in 4 exterior colour options – Brass, Phantom Black, Polar White, Aurora Grey. The cabin will receive sporty design elements such as N Line badge on the steering wheel, gear lever, upholstery and metal pedals. It will get new seat upholstery with contrasting red stitching, and red accents on door pads.
