A latest digital rendering previews the Black Edition of the Creta that appears quite sporty and aggressive. Unlike the Phantom Black paint scheme, the rendered Hyundai Creta Black Edition features all-black front grille, front skid plate, door handles, alloy wheels and roof rails. The front lower grey bumper has also been replaced with black unit. No other changes have been made to the model. It carries the LED headlamps, DRLs and taillamps and a large panoramic sunroof.
While there is no interior rendering, the Hyundai Creta Black Edition is likely to get all-black treatment inside the cabin as well. The list of features will also remain the same. The model will come with leather-wrapped steering wheel, front ventilated seats, powered driver’s seat, 8-speaker Bose premium sound system, a 7.0-inch instrument cluster, electric parking brake with auto hold function, a 10.25-inch touchscreen infotainment system, wireless charger, automatic climate control, cruise control and several other goodies. The second-generation Hyundai Creta shares its engine and gearboxes with the Kia Seltos. There are three BS6-compliant engines including a 115hp, 1.5-litre, naturally-aspirated petrol, a 115hp, 1.5-litre turbocharged diesel and a 1.4-litre turbo-petrol. While the 1.5L petrol motor can be had with either a 6-speed manual or a CVT automatic gearbox, the oil burner is available with a 6-speed manual and a torque converter automatic gearbox. The turbo-petrol unit has been offered with a 7-speed dual-clutch automatic gearbox. Compared to its arch rival – Kia Seltos, the new Creta offers slightly higher fuel economy.
