Hyundai Creta 7-Seater Launch In April 2021 – Report

Hyundai Creta 7-seater SUV is certainly one of the much-awaited new car launches of this year. While its official launch date and details are yet to be revealed by the carmaker, a fresh media report claims that it will arrive in April 2021. Hyundai’s upcoming 7-seater SUV, which is currently in its final testing phase, will be positioned against the MG Hector Plus and the upcoming Tata Safari and the new-generation Mahindra XUV500. Rumour has it that its production-ready model could be named Hyundai Alcazar.

Visually, the 7-seat Creta will look slightly different from its 5-seater version. The extended rear over hangs and longer wheelbase will help accommodate the additional third row of seats. The sloping roof will be replaced with a flatter unit. While the bigger Creta will look similar to its younger sibling till C-pillar, the rear section will be completely revised. The model will carry newly-designed taillamps, bumper and tailgate.

A few changes will also be made to its front end. The 7-seater model will feature a chrome-studded radiator grille, newly-designed bumper and headlamps. Compared to its 5-seater sibling, the Hyundai Creta 7-seater will be 30mm longer and have 20mm longer wheelbase. The overall width and height, however, are likely to remain unchanged. The SUV will have three row seats arrangement with captain seats for the middle row and a panoramic sunroof. Read – Hyundai N-Line Performance Brand Coming To India

In terms of features, the bigger Creta might have some extra goodies to offer. Most of its features will be carried forward from the 5-seater model including a 10.25-inch touchscreen infotainment system with smartphone connectivity, wireless charger, leather upholstery, connected car features, a digital instrument cluster, air purifier, an auto day/night inside rear view mirror and more.

The Hyundai Creta 7-seater SUV might be offered with the same engine setup, which is offered on the 5-seater model. The latter one is available with three engines – a 1.4L turbo petrol (140bhp), a 1.5L naturally-aspirated petrol (115bhp), and a 1.5L turbo diesel (115bhp). Transmission choices will include a 6-speed manual (1.5L petrol and diesel), a 6-speed torque converter automatic (diesel only), a CVT automatic (1.5L petrol only) and a 7-speed DCT (turbo-petrol only).
