A new media report claims that Hyundai is planning to introduce the N brand in the Indian market. The N brand is known for creating fun-to-drive performance cars, which are well received by audience from markets like Germany and UK. The Hyundai N Line cars are equipped with powerful engine and gets some suspension mods along with sporty exterior and interior.
Hyundai i20 N Line India Launch
The report claims that the new Hyundai i20 N Line will be the first product under the new N brand in India. This model is expected to be launched by mid-2021. This model comes with performance-oriented design cues such as grey character line on the front bumper, and black cascading grille with N Line badge. The grille pattern is inspired by chequered flag, which further emphasizing the all-new i20 N Line’s track-inspired look.
The i20 N Line comes with sleek rear bumper, triangle-shaped fog lamp and chrome twin muffler exhaust system. Inside the cabin, the hatchback gets the N-branded sporty seats with the N logo and exclusive red stitching as well as a dedicated N steering wheel. Other N Line enhancements include metal pedals and the leather N gear shift knob with red inserts.
Powering the all-new Hyundai i20 N Line is a 1.0-litre T-GDI petrol engine, which is capable of producing 118bhp and 172Nm of torque. Hyundai claims that the new i20 N Line is refined in terms of suspension, engine response and exhaust sound. The international-spec model also comes with a 48-volt mild-hybrid technology for better efficiency.

The company is also reportedly planning to introduce the performance oriented new Hyundai i20 N hatchback. It is equipped with a 1.6-litre turbocharged petrol engine producing 201bhp of power and 275Nm of torque. The new Hyundai i20 N is claimed to achieve 0-100kmph in just 6.7 seconds before hitting a top speed of 230kmph.
While the new i20 N Line is expected to be priced around Rs 12 lakh, the performance-oriented Hyundai i20 N is expected to cost around Rs 25 lakh to Rs 30 lakh. The i20 N will be imported under the Government’s rule of importing 2,500 cars without going through local homologation process.
