Tata Safari Features and Real World Pictures Leaked

Tata Safari (codenamed Gravitas) is certainly one of the much-awaited new car launches of this year. While the carmaker has already unveiled the model via studio pictures, its first time real world images recently emerged on the web. In fact, some interesting features details have also been leaked online.

As per the leaked information, the new Tata Safari 2021 will come in four trims – XE, XM, XT and XZ – and two seating configurations – 6 and 7-seats. The 7-seater version will have a 60:40 split seats for the middle row passengers. Instead of the slide forward function, the 40% split seat has a small lever placed on its top side to recline, fold and tumble it forward for accessing the third row of seats.

The new Tata Safari will be packed with features such as a 9 speaker JBL audio system with amplifier, a 9-inch touchscreen infotainment system with smartphone connectivity, connected car technology via iRA, ConnectNext and What3Words, auto dimming IRVM, push button start, electronic parking brake with auto-hold function, 6 airbags, cruise control and more.

The top-end XZ trim will get leather seat upholstery, stepped roof with a panoramic sunroof and power adjustable driver seat. The SUV will have Oyster White interior theme with Ash Wood upholstery.

New Tata Safari Spied

All variants of the SUV will derive power from a 2.0L, 4-cylinder diesel engine and come with two gearbox options – 6-speed manual and automatic. The oil burner, which is borrowed from the Harrier, pushes out a peak power of 170bhp and 350Nm of torque. There will be no 4X4 drivetrain system on offer.

The new Tata Safari 2021 will be officially displayed at the brand’s showroom from 26th January. Prior to that, its unofficial bookings have been commenced at a token sum of Rs 51,000. Official pre-bookings will be opened from its unveiling day – i.e. 2021 Republic Day.
