Hyundai Alcazar Receives 11,000 Bookings In 1 Month

Hyundai had launched the Alcazar 7-seater SUV on June 18, 2021. Pre-bookings for the SUV was opened on 9th of June 2021 at a token amount of Rs 25,000. Hyundai has said that the newly launched Hyundai Alcazar has received an overwhelming response from buyers, as bookings has crossed 11,000 in less than a month since its launch.

Sales of the Hyundai Alcazar SUV have crossed 5,600 mark. The SUV currently commands a waiting period of 1-2 months, depening on variant and colour options. Hyundai Alcazar Bookings

The Hyundai Alcazar is available in 3 trim levels – Prestige, Platinum and Signature. The company claims that bookings are evenly shared between these trim levels. Petrol versions are more popular compared to its diesel counterparts. Automatic variants command close to 50% of total bookings.

Hyundai Alcazar June 2021 Sales

In the first month sales, a total of 3,103 units of the Alcazar were dispatched to dealerships. In June 2021 sales, Hyundai Alcazar beats most of its rivals including the MG Hector Plus and the Tata Safari. Tata Motors sold 1,730 units of the Safari and 2,041 units of the Harrier in June. On the other hand, MG Motors dispatched 3,002 units of Hector & Hector Plus combined.

Hyundai Alcazar Interior

The Hyundai Alcazar petrol model is available in the price bracket of Rs 16.30 lakh to Rs 19.84 lakh, while the diesel Alcazar costs Rs 16.53 lakh for base and Rs 20 lakh for top-end model. The gasoline version is equipped with a 2.0-litre 4-cylinder engine that produces 159PS of power and 192Nm of torque.

The diesel variant is powered by a 1.5-litre 4-cylinder turbo-diesel engine that also powers the Creta and the Kia Seltos. This engine is calibrated to offer better power delivery. It is capable of producing 113bhp of power and 250Nm of torque. Transmission choices include a 6-speed manual and a 6-speed torque convertor automatic.
