Hyundai Alcazar’s 10 Features Not Offered On Tata Safari, MG Hector Plus

Hyundai had launched the Alcazar 3-row SUV on June 18, 2021. Based on the modified Creta platform, the new Hyundai Alcazar is positioned against the Tata Safari and the MG Hector Plus. The petrol version of the SUV is priced between Rs 16.30 lakh and Rs 19.84 lakh, while the diesel version costs from Rs 16.53 lakh to Rs 20 lakh.

The new Hyundai Alcazar is available with two engine options – a 159PS, 2.0L petrol and a 115PS, 1.5L diesel. Transmission options include a 6-speed manual and a 6-speed torque convertor automatic. 1. Drive rearview monitor

This feature allows the driver to see the rear traffic or view on the touchscreen while driving forward. It works differently compared to the rear parking camera, as it takes data from the rear camera to show in the infotainment system without putting your car into reverse gear.

2. Fully Digital Instrument Console

The Hyundai Alcazar comes fitted with a 10.25-inch digital instrument console, while its rivals come with a 7-inch MID with analogue speedometer.

The automatic variants of the Alcazar SUV comes with paddle shifters as standard. This feature makes driving fun and engaging. Adding to it, the SUV offers multiple driving modes and traction control modes.

6. Air Purifier with AQI display

The SUV comes with a factory-fitted air purifier with an AQI display mounted in the centre console. As soon as driver starts the AC, the AQI index falls as the air quality improves.

There are cameras mounted on the side of the Alcazar. When driver put on the turn signal, a camera feed is projected in the instrument console showing the blind spot. This is a useful feature, which reduces accidents and helps in changing lanes.

While the MG Hector Plus comes with ambient lighting system in 8 colours, the Tata Safari comes with mood lighting. On the other hand, the Hyundai Alcazar has 64 colour ambient lighting system. User can configure the lighting from the infotainment system.

9. Floor-mounted second-row centre console

The six-seater Alcazar has captain seats for the second row. It gets a floor-mounted centre console that has an integrated armrest, cup holders and storage space. This feature is not available in any of its rivals.

10. Wireless smartphone charger 2nd-row

The SUV also gets segment-first wireless smartphone charger for the second row occupants. This feature is only offered on the 6-seater version of the Alcazar.
