Hyundai Alcazar Petrol Most In Demand – Waiting Period, Bookings Details

The South Korean carmaker has finally marked its entry into the 7-seater premium SUV segment with the all-new Hyundai Alcazar. It comes in three trims – Prestige, Platinum and Signature – priced from Rs 16.30 lakh to Rs 19.99 lakh (ex-showroom). The carmaker says that the Alcazar Signature variants will be exclusively available via its new Signature dealer network offering modern and digitized experience. The new Hyundai 7-seater SUV has received 4,000 bookings so far. The SUV’s all three trims and manual and automatic variants are equally in demand.

The Hyundai Alcazar petrol is the most-in-demand with 55% bookings and diesel version holds 45% of total bookings. The carmaker reveals that 60% of customers are opting 6-seater variant over the 7-seater model. At present, the new Hyundai three-row SUV commands a waiting period of 4-6 weeks, depending on the variant and trim. Dealers started accepting bookings from 9th June at a token sum of Rs 25,000. Its deliveries have been commenced from yesterday.

Hyundai’s new three-row SUV is being offered with the 2.0L, 4-cylinder petrol and 1.5L, 4-cylinder turbo diesel engine options. While the gasoline unit makes power worth 159bhp with 192Nm of torque, the oil burner offers 115bhp with 250Nm. There are two gearboxes on offer – 6-speed manual and 6-speed torque convertor automatic. Its petrol manual returns a claimed mileage of 14.5kmpl and automatic version offers 14.2kmpl. Some of its design highlights include a cascading front grille with dark chrome, LED headlamps with LED DRLs, a floating roof design, 18-inch alloy wheels and split LED tail lamps. The new Hyundai 7-seater SUV has been packed with lots of goodies such as a 10.25-inch touchscreen infotainment system with smartphone connectivity, a digital instrument cluster, front ventilated seats, , a voice-enabled panoramic sunroof, ambient lighting, Bose audio system, 8-way power adjustable driver seat, wireless charging and more.
