Honda Mobilio MPV launching on July 23

Honda Mobilio MPV launching soon

We were the first one to inform you that Honda will launch the Mobilio in third week of July, 2014. Now, it is confirmed that the company will introduce the much-awaited MPV on 23th of July. Our sources revealed that the vehicle will first launch in Delhi, and will be launched in Mumbai on July 24. It will be the third highly anticipated diesel car from the Japanese automaker in the Indian market.

Unveiled at the 2014 Indian Auto Expo, the Honda Mobilio will directly compete against the likes of Maruti Ertiga and Chevrolet Enjoy. Based on the extended version of the Brio platform, the Mobilio MPV is 4,390mm long, 1680mm wide and 1,610mm high. The high ground clearance of 189mm and a large wheelbase of 2650mm make it the most spacious MPV in its league.

Honda has specifically worked on the third row space which will give it a competitive edge over its competitors. It will compete against the likes of Ertiga and Chevy’s Enjoy, while the top-spec model is likely to rival the Toyota Innova. It is claimed to be the most spacious MPV in its segment, thanks to Honda’s “Man Maximum Machine Minimum” philosophy.

The Honda Mobilio MPV will come in both petrol and diesel guise. While the petrol model gets the tried & trusted 1.5-litre i-VTEC engine producing 116bhp, the oil burner has 1.5-litre i-DTEC mill that develops 99bhp. Both the engines will be paired to a five-speed manual gearbox, while the petrol version will also get CVT option.
