Japanese car manufacturer Honda has launched a limited edition CR-V ‘Plus+’ in the Australian market. This limited edition run is available on both two- and four-wheel drive variants with automatic transmissions and metallic paint.
Based on the existing VTi in both two- and four-wheel drive, the limited edition CR-V ‘Plus+’ features include:
18-inch alloy wheels
Fog lights
Front and rear parking sensors
Automatic headlights
Rain-sensing wipers
Metallic paint (flat paint not available)
Exclusive badging
Under the hood, the Honda CR-V ‘Plus+’ gets the same 2.0-litre petrol engine that produces 153bhp and 190Nm of torque. The all-wheel drive version is powered by the more powerful 2.4-litre mill that produces 187.7bhp and 226Nm of peak torque. The special edition models are paired with a five-speed automatic transmission only. The Honda CR-V front wheel drive Plus+ edition is priced at AUD 30,790 (about Rs. 17.3 lakh) while the top-spec 4-wheel drive version of the limited edition model cost AUD 33,790 (approx. Rs. 19 lakh).
Honda is currently testing the 2016 Honda CR-V facelift which is likely to go on sale in the European market next year. The company is also contemplating the updated CR-V with diesel powertrain for the Indian market.
