Honda Civic – The Icon Is Coming Back!

New Honda Civic India Launch

The new Honda Civic will hit roads by the end of this fiscal year.

The Honda Civic was discontinued in India back in 2013 due to the lack diesel powertrain and poor sales. The decision broke million hearts, but hey! It’s coming back. Honda Cars India (HCI) has confirmed the new-generation Civic arrival for this fiscal year. At the launch of the new CR-V SUV, the Japanese carmaker revealed its plan of bringing back the D-segment sedan by the end of this fiscal year (most probably in February, 2019).

The company released official pictures of the new Honda Civic 2019 revealing its design bits. In India, the luxury sedan will be brought as CKD (Completely Knock Down) kit from Thailand. What’s interesting about the new Honda Civic is new 1.6L i-DTEC diesel engine that marked debut in the new CR-V SUV. The oil burner is capable to deliver power worth 120bhp against 300Nm of torque. Read: New Honda Civic – 6 Interesting Facts

Honda will also offer both FWD (front-wheel-drive) and AWD (all-wheel-drive) system. While the former will come with petrol models, the latter one will be offered on the diesel models. Also See – Upcoming Honda Cars In India
