Ford Freestyle Flair Edition Leaked; Gets Sporty Bits

Ford Freestyle, the crossover hatchback from the American carmaker, will soon receive a special edition in the country. Called the Ford Freestyle Flair Edition, the new model is likely to be based on the fully-loaded Titanium+ variant. It’s expected to hit roads in coming weeks and might be offered for a limited time period. On the exterior, the Ford Freestyle Flair edition will have new body graphics on the doors and boot-lid. The anodized red ORVMs, black painted roof with contrast red roof rails, blacked out 15-inch alloy wheels, scuff plates with red finish and rear decals will further enhance its sporty looks. Interior of the special edition will offer dual-tone seat upholstery with red contrast stitching. While the door trims will have red finish, the infotainment unit will be surrounded by a piano black bezel.

Similar to the standard top-spec Titanium+ trim, the special edition will offer auto headlamps, front fog lamps, rear washer and wiper, rain sensing wipers, automatic climate control, auto dimming inside rear view mirror, rear defogger and side and curtain airbags. Things under the hood will remain unchanged. Similar to the regular model, the limited edition of the crossover hatch will come with 1.2L petrol and 1.5L turbo diesel engine options. While the gasoline motor pushes out a peak power of 95bhp with 119Nm of torque, the oil burner makes 100bhp with 215Nm. Both motors will get a 5-speed manual gearbox as standard.

The Ford Freestyle Flair edition prices are expected to be slightly higher than the standard Titanium+ variants, thanks to its sporty bits. At present, the top-end Titanium+ petrol and diesel variants are available at Rs 7.39 lakh and Rs 8.49 lakh respectively (all, ex-showroom).
