Mahindra & Mahindra will soon roll out the BS6-compliant version of the Marazzo diesel MPV. On the feature front, the BS6 Mahindra Marazzo M6+ variant will offer projector headlamps, front and rear fog lamps, cornering lamps, 17-inch alloy wheels, a 7-inch touchscreen infotainment system with in-built navigation, automatic climate control, adjustable lumbar support for the front seats, premium fabric upholstery, driver’s side window with one-touch operation, rear parking camera and a conversation mirror. Though, it will miss out on some features that are currently offered on the M8 trim such as cruise control, leatherette upholstery, power folding mirrors and a cooled glovebox.

The updated diesel model will be packed with the existing 1.5L, 4-cylinder turbo motor meeting the BS6 emission standards. The carmaker has calibrated the oil burner with a Selective Catalytic Reduction (SCR) system with a rear-mounted urea tank. It reduces NOx emissions and makes it comply with the new standards. The BS6 Mahindra Marazzo petrol will also make its way by the end of this year. The new petrol model will use a 1.5L turbo petrol mStallion engine that made its debut at the 2020 Auto Expo. The motor is good enough for 163bhp and 280Nm of torque. Interestingly, the MPV will also receive an Aisin-sourced 6-speed automatic gearbox along with the existing 6-speed manual unit.

In other news, the home-grown carmaker is ready to unveil the second-generation Mahindra Thar on coming 15th August. Its launch is likely to happen in the month of October. While the BS6-compliant Mahindra TUV300 and TUV300+ are slated to arrive in late 2020, the new-generation Mahindra XUV500 and Scorpio will hit roads sometime next year.
