Ford India has released a couple of teaser pictures of the upcoming Endeavour Sport Edition that will see a release on coming 22nd September. The SUV’s special model has already started reaching dealerships and its unofficial bookings have been commenced across the country. The new model will receive sporty black treatment on the exterior, while its interior and things under the hood are likely to remain unchanged. Here’re key cosmetic changes that will be made to the Endeavour’s new edition.
– Blacked-out honeycomb grille instead of the regular horizontal slats chrome unit
– Black front and rear skid plate
– Black ORVMs
– Black alloy wheels
– Black fender vents
– Black side step
– New ‘Sport’ badge on the talgate and decal on the side
As mentioned above, the Ford Endeavour Sport edition will have the standard interior layout. There will be the same dual-tone beige and black theme with features such as an 8-inch touchscreen infotainment system with smartphone connectivity, 8-way adjustable driver and passenger seats, automatic day/night inside rear view mirror, power folding third row, ambient lighting and more.
Powering the Ford Endeavour Sport Edition will be the recently upgraded BS6 2.0L turbo diesel motor pushing out a peak power of 170bhp and 420Nm of torque. The special edition will come with the same 10-speed automatic transmission. The upcoming Endeavour Sport Edition will be based on the fully-loaded Titanium+ variant that costs Rs 34.45 lakh (ex-showroom). This special edition is likely to be priced slightly premium over its standard counterpart. Once launched, it will go up against the newly-launched Toyota Fortuner TRD that has been priced at Rs 34.98 lah.
