Datsun GO, GO+ Prices Increased By 5 Per Cent
Nissan India has announced a 5 per cent price hike on the Datsun GO hatchback and GO+ MPV with immediate effect. The new price list is yet to be revealed. Though, the hatchback will witness price increased between Rs 16,000 – Rs 26,000 and the MPV’ prices will go up from Rs 19,000 to Rs 30,000. The price hike will vary variant-wise.
Currently, the Datsun GO comes in the price range of Rs 3.32 lakh – Rs 5.17 lakh. The GO+, on the other hand, costs Rs 3.86 lakh for the base variant and Rs 5.94 lakh for the top-end model. All prices are ex-showroom.
Besides increasing prices, the Japanese carmaker has also introduced the first-in-segment Vehicle Dynamic Control (VDC) safety feature on the Datsun GO and GO+T and T (O) variants.
Both models come with the same BS4-compliant 1.2L, 3-cylinder petrol engine pushing out 75bhp and 104Nm of torque. The carmaker will upgrade the gasoline motor to meet the BS6 emission norms ahead of the April 2020 deadline.
The Datsun GO and GO+ will soon receive new CVT automatic variants. Official bookings for the automatic models have already been commenced at token amount of Rs 11,000. The CVT-equipped models will go on sale in coming weeks.
