BMW G310R, G310 GS Records 600 Bookings in October

BMW G310 GS Bookings

BMW had launched the G 310 motorcycles in the Indian two-wheeler market in 2019. The motorcycles received overwhelming response from buyers with bookings crosses 600 mark during festive season, Diwali in October. This is the highest number of bookings ever in the festive season for BMW Motorrad.

BMW Motorrad started its operations in India in April 2017. The German bike maker range of bikes and services are available at 23 touch-points across 16 cities in the country. BMW G 310 R and BMW G 310 GS have been developed in Munich, Germany by BMW Motorrad and are locally-produced by cooperation partner TVS Motor Company in Hosur, India.

Both the BMW G310R and the BMW G310 GS are powered by the same 313cc, single-cylinder unit that also powers the TVS Apache RR 310. This engine is capable of producing 34bhp of power at 9,500rpm and a peak torque of 28Nm at 7,500rpm. Power is transmitted to the rear wheel via a 6-speed gearbox. Dual-channel ABS (Anti-Lock Braking System) is available as standard. Both the motorcycles can achieve 0-50kmph in just 2.5 seconds before hitting a top speed 1.43kmph.

BMW G310R Launch

The BMW G310 GS adventure motorcycle rides on larger 19-inch front and 17-inch rear wheels. The G 310 R naked streetfighter rides on 17-inch wheels. The naked streetfighter directly rival the KTM 390 Duke. The BMW G310 GS don’t have a direct rival in the market, but KTM is all set to launch the 390 Adventure motorcycle in India during December 2019.
