All-New Toyota-Maruti’s Creta Rival – 21 Key Features (Expected)

Toyota Kirloskar Motor and Maruti Suzuki are ready to foray into the mid-size SUV segment that’s currently dominated by Hyundai Creta and Kia Seltos. Both automakers are co-developing a SUV that will be manufactured at Toyota’s Bidadi facility in Karnataka and retailed via their independent dealerships in India. If reports are to be believed, the trail production of the new Toyota-Maruti’s Creta rival SUV has already been commenced at the plant. It could witness an official debut in June or July and launch might happen near around 2022 festive season.

The all-new Toyota, Maruti SUV will underpin the localized version of Toyota’s TNGA-B platform. While most of the components will be supplied via Maruti Suzuki’s existing vendors, some crucial systems will be supplied by Toyota regulars. While there is no official word on the upcoming Toyota-Maruti’s Creta rival, it’s likely to come with two petrol engines with hybrid drive unit. One of the gasoline units will have mild hybrid tech and the other one will be available with stronger hybrid system. Most components of the hybrid system will be manufactured locally that help the carmakers achieve competitive pricing.
