Lamborghini has unveiled the Asterior LPI 910-4 Hybrid concept at the 2014 Paris Motor Show. It is for the first time, the vehicle Lamborghini features a plug-in hybrid as concept. Under the bonnet, it is powered by a V10 5.2-litre naturally aspirated engine that churns out a maximum power output of 610bhp that also powers the Huracan supercar. This engine is paired to a three electric motors which is capable of developing an extra 300bhp of power.

This engine is coupled to a seven-speed DSG gearbox, and it develops a combined power output of 910bhp. The powerful hybrid version accelerates to 100kmph from standstill in mere 3 seconds and remains stable at a top speed of 320kmph. On electric power, the vehicle can hit an impressive top speed of 125kmph and can travel up to 50km. The hybrid version of the Asterion develops a combined fuel economy of 23.81kmpl.

In the name the “LP” stands for “longitudinal posterior” while the “I” refers to “Ibrido” (Italian word for “hybrid”). The “910” shows the concept’s output and the “4” presents the four-wheel drive system. The word “Asterion” is taken from the mythical Minotaur hybrid value from Greek mythology.

The Lamborghini Asterion LPI 910-4 concept features a sharp angular design that shows a Blue Elektra glittered color. The front wheels of the car have been fitted to 20-inch wheels while the rear wheels gets carbon fiber shod in Pirelli tires.
