Honda Elevate
Scheduled to make global debut on June 6, the new Honda Elevate mid-sized SUV is expected to be launched by August or September. The new model will be designed and developed on the 5th gen City platform. Not just platform, the new Elevate will share the powertrain options with the City sedan. It is expected to be powered by a 1.5-litre 4-cylinder naturally-aspirated petrol engine that produces 121bhp and 145Nm of torque. Maruti Suzuki Jimny
Maruti Suzuki will announce the prices of the Jimny 5-door lifestyle SUV on June 7. The new model is based on the ladder-on-frame chassis and comes with Suzuki’s AllGrip Pro 4×4 layout with a manual transfer case and a low range gearbox with 3 modes – 2WD high, 4WD high and 4WD low. It will be powered by a 1.5-litre K15B naturally-aspirated petrol engine that produces 104bhp and 134Nm of torque. Transmission choices will include a 5-speed manual and a 4-speed torque convertor automatic. It will ride on 300mm longer wheelbase compared to the 3-door Jimny Sierra. New Kia Seltos
Kia India will launch the new Seltos facelift in our market by July or August 2023. The updated model is already on sale in select international markets. It will come with design changes and an upgraded interior along with a new 1.5L turbo petrol engine. The new model will have a revised front fascia with a new Tiger Nose grille and a new LED DRLs positioned within the grille, updated headlamp setup and new bumper with revised central air intake & fog lamp enclosures. New Tata Nexon
Tata Motors is reportedly to launch the heavily revised Nexon compact SUV in the country by August 2023. The SUV has been spotted testing multiple times on the Indian roads. It will share the styling cues from the Curvv SUV concept that debuted at the 2023 Auto Expo. The new model will come with new front and rear profile; however, it will retain the existing silhouette. It will come with a heavily revised interior with a new dashboard layout and a bigger 10.25-inch touchscreen infotainment unit, a twin-spoke steering wheel and a digital driver display. It will be powered by a new 1.2L turbocharged petrol engine that produces 125PS and 225Nm of torque. The SUV could also receive a new dual-clutch automatic gearbox.
New Tata Harrier/Safari
Tata Motors will also give major upgrades to its popular SUVs including the Harrier and the Safari. Both SUVs have been spotted testing numerous times on the Indian roads. The new models will share the styling cues from the Harrier EV concept that debuted at the 2023 Auto Expo. It will come with a significantly revised interior with new dashboard layout, a bigger touchscreen, a digital driver display, a twin-spoke steering wheel and powered front seats. The new models will also receive a panoramic sunroof. The new models are likely to receive a new 1.5-litre turbo petrol engine that produces 170bhp and 280Nm of torque. The SUVs will retain the 2.0L turbo diesel engine with manual and automatic gearbox options.
