6 New Cars, Bikes Launching In July 2022 – Hyryder, Ronin, Tucson

Here’s a list of top 6 new cars and bikes to be launched or unveiled in the Indian market in July 2022 –

1. Toyota Hyryder – July 1

Toyota’s much-awaited Urban Cruiser Hyryder SUV will make its global debut in India on July 1, 2022. The new model will be positioned against the likes of the Hyundai Creta, Kia Seltos and the MG Astor. The new model is jointly developed by Suzuki and Toyota. Production of the new Hyryder will commence from August at Toyota’s Bidadi based plant in Karnataka.

The new model will be offered with two engine options – a 103PS, 1.5-litre K15C petrol with mild hybrid and a 116PS, 1.5-litre petrol with strong hybrid system. Transmission choices will include a 6-speed manual, a 6-speed torque convertor and an e-CVT (Strong Hybrid Only). The mild hybrid version will also come with AWD (All-Wheel Drive) system.

2. TVS Ronin Cruiser – July 6

TVS Motor Company will launch the new cruiser motorcycle on July 6, 2022. Rumoured to be called the TVS Ronin 225, the new model will feature the retro traditional cruiser styling. It will have a retro-styled round headlamp unit and a round console with necessary readouts – odometer, speedometer, fuel level, engine temperature, etc. It is reportedly to be powered by a 223cc, single-cylinder engine that churns out 20bhp and 20Nm of torque. The engine will be paired to a 5-speed gearbox. It could get USD front forks and monoshock unit at the rear. For braking, the Ronin 225 gets a single disc at both ends with dual-channel ABS system.

3. Citroen C3 – July 20

The much-awaited Citroen C3 will officially go on sale in the country on July 20, 2022. Official bookings for the new SUV will commence from July 1, 2022. The entry-level car will be offered with two petrol engine options – a 1.2-litre naturally-aspirated and a 1.2-litre turbocharged petrol. While the former is capable of producing 82PS of power, the later churns out 110PS and 190Nm of torque. Transmission choices will include a 5-speed manual and a 6-speed manual.

Measuring 3.98 meters in length, the new Citroen C3 rides on 2,540mm wheelbase and offers a boot space of 315-litres. It is based on the heavily localised CMP (Common Modular Platform), which will also underpin future Citroen cars in India. In terms of features, the hatchback gets a 10-inch touchscreen infotainment system with wireless Apple CarPlay & Android Auto, USB fast chargers, manual air conditioning, etc. The company will offer the new C3 in 4 monotone and 2 dual-tone colour options.

4. New Hyundai Tucson – July 13

Hyundai will unveil the long wheelbase version of the next-gen Tucson SUV in the country on July 13, 2022. The LWB Tucson rides on 2,756mm long wheelbase, which is claimed to offer more space in the second row and bigger boot compared to the European model. The SUV features brand’s new ‘Sensuous Sportiness’ design language. It features uniquely styled parametric front grille with fully integrated DRLs, quad tail-lights connected by a full-width LED bar, new bumper with diamond texture and a faux skid plate.

The SUV will come with a dual-screen infotainment system that has a 10.3-inch display for climate control & other functions. The infotainment system is compatible with Android Auto, Apple CarPlay and two-device Bluetooth connectivity. In terms of features, the SUV gets Hyundai’s BlueLink connected car tech, a digital instrument console, a panoramic sunroof, automatic AC, cruise control & ADAS features. The SUV will be offered with two engine options – a 150bhp, 2.0L petrol and a 182bhp, 2.0L turbo diesel. While the former will come with a 6-speed automatic torque convertor automatic, the diesel engine will be paired to an 8-speed automatic gearbox.

5. BMW G310 RR – July 15

BMW Motorrad India will launch the fully-faired BMW G310 RR motorcycle on July 15, 2022. It is essentially a rebadged TVS Apache RR310; however, BMW engineers have made some changes to keep things fresh in the market. Interested buyers can pre-book the new motorcycle online or at authorised BMW Motorrad dealerships. Deliveries for the new motorcycle will be done on a first come first serve basis post launch. Powering the motorcycle is a 312.2cc, liquid-cooled, single-cylinder engine that churns out 33bhp of power at 9,700rpm and a peak torque of 27.3Nm at 7,700rpm.

6. New Audi A8L – July 12

Prices of the new Audi A8L luxurious sedan will be revealed on 12th July 2022. Official bookings have been commenced at a token amount of Rs 10 lakh. It will rival the likes of the BMW 7 Series and Mercedes-Benz S-Class. It is likely to be powered by the same 3.0L TFSI petrol engine that produces 340bhp of power. The gasoline unit will also be offered with mild hybrid option that offers 461bhp. It will be paired to an 8-speed Tiptronic automatic gearbox and Audi’s Quattro AWD (all-wheel drive) system.
