We will witness some exciting new car launches this month (May 2022). The lineup includes around 9-10 models including the Honda City Hybrid, Baleno and Glanza CNG, updated Venue, Kia EV6 GT and more. There will be 4 new SUVs and here’re key details of the upcoming models.
Skoda Kushaq Monte Carlo
Skoda Auto India will announce prices of the Kushaq Monte Carlo on 9th May, 2022. Based on the top-spec Style trim, the model receives sporty black treatment on the grille, front and rear bumpers, doors and tailgate. It features bespoke 17-inch alloy wheels with new 205/55 R17 tyres. The model will be offered in two dual-tone paint schemes – Red/Black and White/Black. The Skoda Kushaq Monte Carlo comes with all-black dashboard, a new digital instrument cluster with dual-tone theme, new red inserts and black seat cover with red highlights. The SUV’s new edition can be had with both 1.0L and 1.5L TSI petrol engines.
Long-Range Tata Nexon EV
The 2022 Tata Nexon EV is ready to hit showrooms on 11th May, 2022. The electric SUV will come with a bigger 40kWh battery pack and a more powerful 6.6kW AC charger. The new model is reported to deliver a range of over 400km on a full charge. The automaker will also equip the long-range Nexon EV with a few new features including selectable regeneration modes, an air purifier, ventilated front seats, cruise control, a park mode and electronic stability program. With aforementioned updates, the model will surely witness a price hike.
New-Gen Maruti Brezza
While there is no official word on launch date and details of the new-generation Maruti Brezza, the model is reported to see a release in May 2022. The SUV will take a big leap in terms of design, features and engine mechanism. It will come with goodies such as a 360 degree camera, a sunroof, wireless phone charging, a new instrument cluster, a new flat-bottom steering, wireless smartphone connectivity, connected car tech and more. This time around, the Brezza might drop the SHVS mild hybrid system and come with updated 1.5L K15C petrol engine and a new 6-speed automatic gearbox.
Hyundai Venue Facelift
The updated Hyundai Venue is reported to witness a market launch in the month of May. Its official launch date is yet to be announced. While the engine setup of the subcompact SUV is likely to remain unchanged, it will receive significant changes inside and out. Upfront, the new Venue will feature the next-gen Tucson inspired parametric grille along with the new rectangular shaped headlamps. Other highlights will include new alloy wheels, revised rear bumper, new tailgate with L-shaped taillamps and a new faux skid plate. The automaker might equip the new model with an upgraded infotainment unit and new BlueLink connected car tech.
