Hyundai is testing multiple products including the Venue facelift, Creta facelift and the new Tucson in India. These models will be launched before the end of this year. The first Hyundai to go on sale in our market is the new 2022 Hyundai Venue facelift. The compact SUV is currently in its final stages of testing in India.
1. 2022 Hyundai Venue – Launch Timeline & Price
The outgoing Venue is available in the price bracket of Rs 6.99 lakh and Rs 11.71 lakh. With new features and upgrades, the new model is likely to receive a price hike. It is expected to be priced somewehere between Rs 7.5 lakh to Rs 12 lakh.
Hyundai is yet to make an official announcement on the launch of the new Venue. However, several media reports claim that the 2022 Hyundai Venue will be launched in May 2022. It will rival the likes of the Kia Sonet, Tata Nexon, Mahindra XUV300 and the upcoming Maruti Brezza and the Toyota Urban Cruiser.
2. 2022 Hyundai Venue – Engine Options
The Venue facelift is not likely to receive any significant change under the hood. It is likely to retain the existing engine set-up comprising of a 83bhp, 1.2L NA petrol, a 118bhp, 1.0L turbo-petrol & a 113bhp, 1.5L turbo-diesel. Transmission choices include a 5-speed MT with 1.2L petrol, a 6-speed MT as standard, an iMT and 7-speed DCT with 1.0L turbo-unit.
3. Top Changes – Exterior
The spy images reveal that the new Venue facelift will receive significant design changes. The SUV will come with all-new front fascia, which will be inspired by the next-gen Tucson. The same design will also be offered on the upcoming Creta facelift. The SUV gets a newly designed parametric grille and a new rectangular shaped headlamp unit, which will be placed lower on the bumper. The LED DRLs will look like a part of grille.
The SUV will come with all-new rear profile, featuring a new tailgate with L-shaped tail-lights with new LED inserts and a reprofiled bumper that accommodates a new faux skid plate. The SUV will ride on new alloy wheels.
4. Interior Changes – What To Expect?
The interior details of the new Venue facelift are yet to be revealed; however, it is likely to remain largely identical to the existing model. The small SUV is likely to get feature upgrades and more safety features as standard. The SUV is likely to get an upgraded touchscreen infotainment system with the latest smartphone connectivity and a new BlueLink connected car tech.
5. Venue N-Line Variant
Hyundai will also launch the N-Line variant of the Venue compact SUV in India. In fact, the Venue N-Line has already been spotted testing in India. It will come with different alloy wheels, a dual-tip exhaust & N-Line badging on the front fender. The SUV will sport red accents on the lower section of the front bumper. Design elements such as roof rails, front brake callipers and tweaked rear bumper will differentiate it from the regular model. The N-line variant is likely to get an all-black interior scheme with sporty red accents and N logos all-around the cabin.
