3 Upcoming 650cc Royal Enfield Motorcycles – Key Details

Royal Enfield has been testing multiple new models simultaneously. While there is no official words on the upcoming new RE bikes, the lineup is likely to include three 350cc (new Bullet 350, Hunter 350 and classic 350 bobber) and three 650cc models (Super Meteor 650, Shotgun 650 and a 650cc cruiser). Here’re key details of the upcoming 650cc Royal Enfield motorcycles.

Royal Enfield Super Meteor 650

Royal Enfield Super Meteor Features

Design and styling of the new RE Super Meteor 650 could be inspired by the KX Concept. The model will share its engine with the Interceptor 650 and Continental GT 650. That means, it will come with a 648cc, parallel twin-cylinder FI engine delivering power worth 47PS against 52Nm. The bike will be equipped with a 6-speed gearbox with a slipper and assist clutch. On the feature front, the Super Meteor 650 might offer a semi-digital instrument cluster with Tripper navigation, round headlamp, taillamp and turn indicators, a low slung and a twin pipe exhaust system.

Royal Enfield Shotgun 650

Similar to the Super Meteor 650, the upcoming Royal Enfield Shotgun 650 will use the same 648cc, parallel twin-cylinder motor that does duty in the RE 650cc twins. The bike will share some of its design bits from the SG650 concept that was unveiled at the 2021 EICMA. The SG650 was a single-seater Bobber concept featuring a digital graphic scheme along with the brushed aluminum and black colourway. It has fat Metzeler tyres, USD front forks and twin shock absorbers suspension unit at the rear and front and rear disc brakes.

As of now details of the new Royal Enfield 650cc cruiser motorcycle are scanty. Though, the model is reported to sit on the longest wheelbase among upcoming RE 650cc bikes. In fact, its steering and front steering angle will be better than other two bikes. With pulled-back handlebar, forward-set footpegs and a low seat, the new RE 650cc cruiser will offer comfortable riding ergonomics.
