3 Tata Cars To Launch By June 2023 – Report

Tata Motors will update its existing model lineup in coming months. While the Nexon, Harrier and Safari SUVs will receive mid-life updates, the Altroz will get CNG version and Racer Edition. The Tata Punch CNG will also be the part of the launch strategy. The carmaker hasn’t yet confirmed the exact launch dates of the upcoming updated models. Though, a fresh media report says that the Tata Altroz CNG, Punch CNG and Altroz Racer Edition might arrive by June 2023. Here’re some key details of the aforementioned models.

The Tata Altroz CNG and Punch CNG versions will feature a 1.2L petrol engine and a factory-fitted CNG kit. While running in the CNG mode, the models will deliver a maximum power of 77PS and a peak torque of 95Nm. For performing transmission duties, there will be a 5-speed manual gearbox. Tata said that the Altroz CNG and Punch CNG have a new dual cylinder setup and each cylinder has a capacity of 30-litre. Both models will be the first vehicles in their segments to come with a Single Advanced ECU (engine control unit) and Direct State CNG along with the leakage detection technology. The Tata Altroz Racer Edition was first showcased at this year’s Auto Expo. The hatchback has been powered by a 1.2L, 3-cylinder turbocharged petrol engine that pushes out a peak power of 120PS at 5,500rpm and 170Nm of torque between 1750rpm- 4,000rpm. Once launched, the Altroz Racer will go head-to-head against the Hyundai i20 N Line. The latter one is offered with a 118bhp, 1.0L turbo petrol engine and the 6-speed iMT and 7-speed DCT gearbox options. In terms of features, the hatch will have a 10.25-inch touchscreen infotainment system with the latest smartphone connectivity, a 7-inch TFT digital instrument cluster, ventilated seats, wireless phone charging, leatherette seats with contrast strips, voice activated electric sunroof, 6 airbags, etc. More details here…
