Jeep India has introduced two special edition of the Meridian three-row SUV – Meridian X and Meridian Upland. The limited edition Meridian costs Rs 33.41 lakh for the base variant and Rs 38.47 lakh for the top end model. The pricing will depend upon the type of accessories that a buyer chooses. Prices of the Jeep Meridian SUV model lineup start from Rs 32.95 lakh (ex-showroom).
The carmaker says that the new limited editions deliver the brand’s “legendary 4X4 capability with new styling and equipment to further accentuate the true SUV design cues of the Jeep Meridian”. These special offerings are for those who want to drive through different terrains.
On the exterior, the new Jeep Meridian X and Meridian Upland feature a more urban styling theme with body-coloured lowers, alloy wheels with grey inserts and a grey roof. It also gets side moulding. Both special editions are being offered in Silvery Moon and Galaxy Blue colour options.
Inside, there is ambient lighting and puddle lamps giving it refreshing look. The company is offering the rear entertainment package with a Wi-Fi enabled 11.6-inch screen to play your favourite apps and content, at 50% of the selling price. Buyers will also get some functional equipment such as boot orgranizer, a roof carrier & side steps, splash guards, sunshades, cargo mats, special cabin, trye inflator and a specially designed hood decal.
Under the hood, the new Jeep Meridian X and Meridian Upland Editions feature the same 2.0L, 4-cylinder diesel engine that’s good enough for 168bhp and 350Nm. Transmission choices include a 6-speed manual and a 9-speed automatic. The top-end trim gets 4X4 drivetrain system. The SUV is claimed to do 0 to 100kmph in 10.8 seconds and offer a maximum speed of 198kmph.
