Tata Motors has showcased the new Altroz Racer edition at the 2023 Auto Expo. The new model comes with a more powerful engine, new features and cosmetic design upgrades. It has also confirmed that the new Altroz Racer will be launched in the country in near future. It also becomes the most powerful model in its category.

The Altroz Racer also comes equipped with a more powerful turbocharged petrol engine, which is offered on the Nexon petrol. It is powered by a 1.2-litre 3-cylinder turbocharged petrol engine that churns out a maximum power output of 120PS at 5500rpm and a peak torque of 170Nm between 1750rpm and 4000rpm. Power is transmitted to the front wheels via a 6-speed manual gearbox.
The Altroz Racer edition will directly rival the Hyundai i20 N Line that comes with the 1.0L turbo petrol unit. This engine is capable of producing 118bhp and a peak torque of 172Nm. Transmission choices include a 6-speed iMT and a 7-speed dual-clutch transmission.
