January 2021 will surely be an exciting month for the Indian automobile industry as several new cars are ready to hit roads. In fact, there will be three back-to-back launch events in the very first week of January. While the updated Audi A4 and Toyota Fortuner facelift will see a release on 5th and 6th respectively, the American SUV maker will unveil the Jeep Compass facelift on 7th. 1. Audi A4 Facelift – 5th Jan
The Audi A4 facelift will be the first car launch in 2021. Its official prices will be announced on 5th January. The updated sedan can be pre-booked by paying a sum of Rs 2 lakh online or at any Audi dealership across the nation. The model receives some noticeable exterior changes include a wider, single-frame grille, revised front bumper, new LED headlamps with DRLs and slightly tweaked taillamps. Insider, there will be a free-standing 10.1-inch touchscreen infotainment system with updated MMI system. Under the hood, the 2021 Audi A4 facelift will employ a new more powerful 190bhp, 2.0L turbo petrol engine replacing the 150bhp, 1.4L turbo petrol motor.
2. Toyota Fortuner Facelift – 6th Jan
The 2021 model year of the Toyota Fortuner SUV will be launched on coming 6th January. This time around, the Japanese carmaker will also introduce the sportier and more premium variant – the Fortuner Legender. The SUV will features a new front grille, updated bumper, newly-designed LED headlamps with LED DRLs, new alloys and slimmer LED taillamps. Minor changes will also be made inside the cabin. The 2021 Toyota Fortuner facelift will get a larger 8.0-inch touchscreen infotainment system along with a few new goodies. The carmaker might also offer the updated version of the 2.8L turbo diesel engine making 204bhp with 500Nm. The 166bhp, 2.7L petrol motor will also be on offer.
3. Jeep Compass Facelift – 7th Jan
The American SUV manufacturer has confirmed that it will unveil the India-spec Jeep Compass facelift on 7th January, 2021. The model will receive significant changes inside and out, while the engine setup is likely to remain unchanged. Its design will look refreshing with a new grille, sleeker headlamps with new inserts, updated bumper and fog lamp assembly. The new floating 10.1-inch infotainment system with FCA’s latest UConnect 5 technology will come as a biggest interior upgrade. The SUV will continue to be offered with the 161bhp, 1.4L turbo petrol and 173bhp, 2.0L Multijet diesel engine options. There will be three gearboxes to choose from – 6-speed manual (standard), 7-speed DCT (petrol only) and 9-speed automatic (diesel only).
