2021 Jeep Compass India Debut On January 7 – Details In 8 Quick Points

Jeep India has confirmed that it will unveil the 2021 model year of the Compass on January 7, 2021. Prices of the updated version are likely to be announced next month. While its official booking details are yet to be announced, Jeep dealers have already started taking pre-orders in select cities. The 2021 Jeep Compass facelift was recently previewed at the 2020 Guangzhou International Motor Show in China. The SUV witnesses a few cosmetic changes and feature upgrades, while its engine setup is likely to remain unchanged.

Improved Design

– Upfront of the new Compass appears more aggressive than before, thanks to its bigger 7-slat grille with chrome finish, sleeker headlamps with new inserts, revised bumper and newly-designed fog lamp assembly.

– The full LED headlamps are likely to be standard across the model lineup. The front bumper has long black insert frame connecting fog lamps. It also has an auxiliary air inlet placed in the middle.

Jeep Compass Trailhawk Facelift

– The rear profile might be revised with slightly tweaked bumper diffuser.

– The 2021 Jeep Compass Trailhawk carries a new blacked-out grille and front bumper along with red/black decals on the bonnet and red tow hooks on the front bumper.

Interior Upgrades

Same Powertrain

– As mentioned above, the new Jeep Compass 2021 will come with the same 1.4L turbo petrol and 2.0L, 4-cylinder Multijet diesel engine options. While the turbo gasoline unit makes a top power of 161bhp with 250Nm of torque, the oil burner delivers 17bhp with 350Nm of torque.

– A 6-speed manual gearbox will continue to be standard on the SUV model lineup. While a 7-speed DCT transmission will be reserved for the turbo-petrol variants, a 9-speed automatic gearbox will be exclusively offered on the diesel models.
