3 Maruti Suzuki SUVs Launching Soon – 1 CNG, 2 Petrol

Maruti Suzuki is preparing to launch multiple new models in the country before the end of 2023-24 financial year. In the next 3 months, MSIL will introduce 3 SUVs including a CNG version of the Brezza SUV in the country. Moreover, the company will release the prices of the much-awaited Fronx crossover and the Jimny lifestyle SUV by May-June 2023. 

1. Maruti Brezza CNG

Maruti Suzuki had showcased the CNG version of the Brezza compact SUV at the 2023 Auto Expo. Select dealers have started accepting bookings for the Brezza CNG. It will be first model in its category to offer CNG fuel option. It will be powered by a 1.5-litre petrol-CNG engine that powers the Grand Vitara, Ertiga and XL6. In the CNG mode, the powertrain produces 88PS and 121.5Nm of torque. It will be offered with a 5-speed manual gearbox. The new model is likely to be offer a claimed mileage of over 26km/kg. 

2. Maruti Suzuki Fronx

The Maruti Suzuki Fronx can be booked online or at authorised NEXA dealerships by paying a sum of Rs 11,000. It is expected to be launched sometime in the first half of April 2023. It is likely to cost somewhere around Rs 7 lakh to Rs 11 lakh. The new model will rival the Nissan Magnite and the Renault Kiger. It will share most of the interior features and body panels with the Baleno hatchback. The Fronx will be offered with 2 engine options – a 90PS, 1.2L NA petrol with 5MT & AMT, and a 100PS, 1.0L turbo petrol with 5MT & 6-speed torque convertor. 

3. Maruti Suzuki Jimny

Maruti Suzuki will announce the prices of the new Jimny lifestyle SUV by May 2023. The new model is available for booking at NEXA dealerships or online at NEXA website, and it can be booked by paying a token amount of Rs 25,000. It will be offered in two trim levels – Zeta and Alpha. The Jimny 5-door will be powered by a 1.5-litre K15B 4-cylinder petrol engine with idle start/stop system. This engine is capable of producing 103bhp and 134.2Nm of torque. Transmission choices include a 5-speed manual and a 4-speed torque convertor automatic. It is fitted with Suzuki AllGrip Pro 4WD system with a manual transfer case and a low-range gearbox with 2WD high, 4WD high and 4WD-low modes.
