Mahindra & Mahindra recently introduced its much-awaited XUV700 SUV in the country. The model has already created buzz among buyers with its super aggressive pricing that starts at Rs 11.99 lakh for the entry-level Mahindra XUV700 MX petrol 5-seater variant. The SUV comes with 5 and 7-seats configurations along with segment’s most feature packed interior and the most powerful petrol and diesel engines. Prices of its 7-seater XUV700 will be revealed in October 2021. The 7-seater version will have an additional third row of seats to accommodate more occupants.
After the Mahindra XUV700 7-seater, the company will roll out the Mahindra e-KUV100 that made its public debut at the 2020 Auto Expo. The electric mini SUV uses a 15.9kWh battery pack that supplies power to a single electric motor. The latter one pushes out a peak power of 54.4bhp and 120Nm of torque. Its battery pack can be charged up to 80% in 55 minutes via a fast charger and 100% in 5 hours 45 minutes via a standard charger.
The Mahindra e-KUV100 is claimed to deliver a range of up to 150km. Minor cosmetic changes are likely to be made to the final model. It’s likely to receive newly-designed alloy wheels with blue inserts, a triangular badge on the C-pillar and Mahindra Electric (ME) badging on the charging flap. The upcoming electric mini SUV will be updated on the official website in coming days, followed by its imminent launch.
The new-Gen Mahindra Scorpio will be the next big launch from the home-grown automaker. The SUV is slated to hit showrooms early next year with significant design and feature upgrades and more powerful engines. Its engine setup will include a 2.0L turbo petrol and a 2.2L mHawk diesel motor. The new Scorpio can be had with either a 6-speed manual or a 6-speed automatic gearbox. Similar to the current generation, the new one will come with the RWD system.
